How to fill it
What to write on each line
Receipt no.
Use one series per property, like SR-2026-001, SR-2026-002. It makes month-end checking and disputes easy.
Room / bed
Write the bed, not just the room, when a room is shared. Two tenants in one room should never get receipts that look the same.
Rent for month
The month the rent covers, not the day it was paid. A tenant who pays November rent on 3 November gets “November 2026”.
Paid by
Note cash payments clearly. A cash receipt is the tenant’s only proof, so give one every time.
